• No second mortgage required: With the low cost of downloadable paper models, you have more freedom to explore your gaming options without sacrificing visual quality. Sure, you could use soda bottles, cracker boxes, and Tupperware containers covered in spackle to make an ersatz substitute for that $1500 resin fortress model you've been lusting after for months, but why settle for that when you could have a much better-looking and equally inexpensive cardstock setup?
• No commitment required: The low buy-in for cardstock models means you can try out new genres and periods without worrying about wasting hundreds of dollars on something that nobody else in your area wants to play with you. 

With all of those attributes, paper models and gaming are simply meant to be together.
